Such a simple gesture, yet often forgotten! Ever attended an event, purchased a gift, plus some more and NEVER received a thank you card? Whether the event is a baby shower, birthday party, or wedding, I can't emphasize how important Thank You Cards are.
Do I sense a few guilty readers on the other side of the screen?
Thank You Cards not only show your appreciation but also sends a sincere message to your guests. Whatever the dilemma may be, I've whipped up a few tips to make getting those thank you cards out in a jiff!
1. The Traditional Route
Handwritten thank you cards may seem like the only option and a big task. Here's what you'll need to make these task not so dreadful!
1. Box of Thank You Cards and a Book of Stamps.
There are countless options for thank you cards! These are more simple, but get straight to the point. These retail at $9.99 for 50 count at Target!
The most important aspect in sending mail is not to forget a stamp! A book of stamps, via USPS, can retail up to $9.80 for 20 stamps. Depending on the amount of thank you cards, this may or may not be the best option.
2. Envelope Moistener and Peel-And-Seal Envelopes
Kiss the old days of licking each and every one of your envelopes away! This can be more tiresome than preparing the actual thank you card! Dab n Seal is the ultimate plug in securing your thank you cards. You literally dab the product onto your envelopes and seal, super easy!
Press and Seal envelopes is easily a no brainer when it comes to your options in the securing process. You can find these anywhere and can retail as low as $1.99.
3. Address labels
I've found 3 options for address labels in case re-writing your address multiple times is too much to bear!
Return Standard Stamp via Simply Stamps. This will save a ton of time and money going forward! This standard stamp retails for $29.94. Stamp away!
Address Labels via Office Depot. A roll of labels retail at $9.99 for 250 labels. Can we say that's a major deal?!
Personalized envelopes via Etsy. Personalized envelopes can also be used interchangeably for return envelopes when receiving RSVP's for your event. #YourWelcome
Time for one last tip when going the traditional route. This is by far the BEST tip I've come across to ease the hassle of thank you cards!
Prepare an empty box with pre-filled envelopes. The envelopes can either be blank or pre-filled with your address and stamped. This allows your guest to input their information on the envelope, leaving you with the only task of stuffing the envelopes. #WorkSmarterNotHarder
2. The Digital Route
In the year of 2017, we live in a very tech-savvy world. The digital world is becoming more normalized, breaking "tradition" in many ways. Depending on whom your sending your Thank You Cards too, it could either be seen as impresonable with an older generation vs.
Redstamp is by far a favorite at Larkspur Lane! It's a digital app that creates digital + paper cards in minutes! The options are endless and did I mention it's FREE? You can utilize this app from baby shower invites, support & sympathy, to happy birthdays! This app is the bomb dot com!
If you're wanting something more simplified, you could always order Thank You Cards through major retailers, such as Walmart and Walgreens. This option gives the opportunity not to only thank your guests but to also share photos from your event. This option is efficient and less time consuming. Kill two birds with one stone!
